Someone from Cameron Highlands gave my niece some lilliums for the Chinese New Year and some other flowers which I'm not familiar with; sword lillies, I think, better known as Gladiolus. The latter came in long stalks and were attractive even without flowers. I suppose they were hardy too for it has been more than a week now that they were in the living room in a glass vase which I had bought specially for them. It was rather fulfilling to watch the flowers slowing appearing and blossoming...
