I read that mushrooms blooming in the yard is caused by fungi that have been living underground, responding to changes in temperature, light and water. Suppose that applies too to the blooming mushrooms in the Lake Gardens. The particular mushrooms stood out from the others I've seen. The smooth white cap seemed to split at the edge upon maturation and they do looked like flowers with unique petals!
Just look at these mushrooms!
