Planting papaya trees sometimes hurts. In the past, there was a papaya tree which failed to bear fruits; and then, there was one which bore one fruit too many; but the tree dried up and perished before the fruits could be harvested. The first fruit from the present papaya tree dropped much to my dismay. I read that female papaya trees drop fruits from flowers that were not pollinated but I couldn't really understand why there are fruits if the flowers were not pollinated. Fruits shouldn't have formed even with incomplete pollination, don't you think?
