Okra in Pots

Growing lady fingers or okra isn't as difficult. Once, I had difficulty growing them; but these days, they seem to grow well in pots. Just sow the seeds direct or somewhere else and transfer them there when they have germinated to one or two inches tall. Seeds take some time to germinate, two to 12 days; faster if they are soaked overnight and not at all if the seeds float in the water. And since they can grow tall and big, it doesn't pay to have more than two plants in a 12-inch diameter pot. I usually stick to one per pot.
