Somewhere in Facebook, I read that okra costs 26 Euro a kilo in Sweden; that comes to about 128 ringgit locally, an exorbitant price. Locally, a packet of 200 g which is enough to whip up a dish for the family doesn't exceed 3 ringgit; and that probably doesn't exceed 15 ringgit per kilo. Then, even though okra isn't very expensive here, it's easy to grow it here where it's hot and sunny. And it doesn't need a lot of space and is fun too; watching it grow from seedlings and bearing flowers and fruits and finally ending up on the dinner table!
