While attending a school dinner, a plant caught my eye. It was a big, beautiful plant and it was planted in a pot. Have not seen such a plant before. Could you identify it?

First Bloom

The banana tree used to be in a pot . Then, it was transferred to the garden by the drain . It probably has been there for over a year. Now, it is producing its first bloom. Was surprised to find that it was green. 22.7.24

Song Talk : Dancing Queen

The Swedish group, Abba recorded many beautiful songs. It was a surprise to read that it had only one number one hit in America. Dancing Queen which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame also only managed to reach the top five songs in many other countries. Here's Dancing Queen More English Songs !

Rats!

Someone posted in Facebook a picture of an ugly black rat. Of course, it's the year of the rat but it's not just any rat but a metal rat. A gold or silver rat therefore is more appealing; more pleasant to look at; rather than the black Rattus rattus . Ditto the Starbucks mug and snow globe, both of which feature the rodent, I suppose, as a commemoration. The rat in the Facebook however reminds me of the late Michael Jackson's hit song, Ben which is the theme song of the 1972 movie of the same name; an American horror flick about a young boy and his pet; a rat of course. Animals, I suppose are rather inspiring and make the creative juice flow! Commomerative Rats!
