Movie Talk: The Lion King

Just last week, some of my friends invited me for a movie. I couldn't make it. While on errands on a hot afternoon, I just passed by the theater and decided on the spur of the moment to buy a ticket for the 3.10 pm show, which would start in 15 minutes. Disney's computer-animated musical film looks like real lion and lioness were acting and animals like humans, okcould be both kind and mean. I suppose fans are already familiar with the story of Simba,  the young lion who was tricked into believing that he caused his father's death by his cunning uncle who stole his rightful place as king of Pride Lands of Africa. Never mind that animals don't rule over lands like humans do; or if they speak perfect English. If one can just shake off and accept the ideas of lions eating worms or the carnivores living side by side and be buddies even with their preys as in a lion with a warthog, the movie would be enjoyable and be a lesson to leaders of the world even, that is, if they heed the advice of King Musafa to his heir apparent, Simba on what constitutes a good king and good governance. For serious adults who pooh pooh on animated movies then, feel free to watch the movies. Hakuna matata, I should say. That's no worries in Swahili.
