Movie Talk: Crawl

When a colleague asked me to watch a movie about an attacking crocodile, I thought she meant the Thai movie, The Pool but that was a 2018 movie. Crawl, the 2019 American disaster horror film directed by Alexandre Aja, is about a daughter and father played by Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper who are trapped in their Coral Lake house  in Florida during a severe hurricane. It is a tense movie and gripped the attention barely minutes after  the 87 minutes movie starts, especially when the daughter finds her father, injured and unconscious  in the crawl space of their house and there is hint of an attack by a menacing predator. It is revealed very quickly that there is a big alligator lurking in the darkness of the crawl space and even as you are taking a deep breath, you'll be further shocked with the presence of yet another as menacing alligator. The situation becomes really tense when the heavy rain causes water to flood into the house and father and daughter have to fight from either a watery death by drowning or a bloody death by either  the pair of alligators inside the house or by the many alligators that have found their way outside..
