One day, something just got into me and I bought some balsam seeds online. The native of India and Mymmar is a common garden plant locally. Some one thousand seeds of various colours from pink, red to purple were offered and I had thought the balsams were of the hybrid variety where there were attractive overlapping petals. Instead, they were the normal balsams I used to see in the neighbourhood. Many of the seeds did not germinate and the few which did didn't do justice to the beautiful and delicate balsams that I knew.
