While the Northeast Monsoon brings rain at the end of each year, this year it seems to bring more than usual. It rains here almost every night, morning and towards evening too. The sky is downcast for most of the day and the weather seems unusually cool. Clothes hung out to dry do not dry as fast and people in Singapore were even reported to be wearing sweaters and jackets. Flood naturally occurs in flood prone area. The number of flood victims in the nation at the moment has climbed to 56,159 people; some 37,792 of whom were from Terengganu and 17,326 from Kelantan; states in the east coast.
