Animal Take : Elephants Climbing Hills

A great ancient military commander Hannibal; reputedly led his army across the Pyrenees and the Alps into Italy to fight the Romans. Hannibal was a Carthaginian general commanding the forces of Carthage, an affluent city and trading hub of the Ancient Mediterranean. His troops included cavalry and African war elephants. That he managed to get the elephants climbed up the mountains was a feat indeed. Scientists using global positioning system (GPS) satellite tracking recently found that elephants would avoid sloped terrain and hills. While it is said that it is difficult for such big animals to climb hills and mountains, it most certainly isn't impossible. Elephants in fact had been spotted climbing a hill in Gua Musang, a little town in Malaysia. Since it was a rare occurence, some people thought this as a sign of an imminent big flood. What's your take?
