White Hydrangea

A friend gave me my first hydrangea. It was  a pot of leafy plant in her porch and she probably had seen me admiring it for some time. Sad to say though, the plant didn't bring much joy since it didn't for once flower. The flowers of hydrangea are rather showy; they grow in blue or purple flowerheads at the end of the stem. A few times when in the nursery, the flowers caught my attention and I had them brought home, only to face more disappointment as the flowers faded and the plants died. Have given't up on them really but an acquaintance recently insisted on giving one, delivering it to the doorstep even. This latest hydrangea really sprung a surprise. See, it had started to bloom and it looked like the flowers would be white!
