Remember the first time I harvested ginger. Read that the rhizomes are mature enough for harvesting when the plant has blossomed; and there it was, there was definitely a blossom there; all green and not very attractive. Ginger is harvested by digging up the entire plant; and since the one in the garden was in a pot, I simply emptied the pot's content. The ginger weren't the best I've seen; all small and scrawny. Better luck next time!
