Mentha or mint, seems like a difficult plant to grow. Many times, I tried growing it in the garden but they normally did not survive; good enough if they lived a few days to give you false hopes. A friend gave a little pot but that too ended tragically. Then, one day, I got a stalk of mint and decided to grow it in a pot. I heard mint loves water and hence blocked the pot with little pebbles and made sure it is watered daily. Now, the mint is flourishing. Mint leaves are aromatic, said to have a sweet flavour and a cool aftertaste; and are used in various ways; in teas, beverages, jellies, syrups, candies, and ice creams but I have other plans for it...
