If you are a fan of the American cartoon character created by Elzie Crisler Segar, Popeye the Sailor Man; then you ought to know that Popeye gets his energy from eating spinach. The leafy spinach can be green or red and even bicoloured. The spinach in the garden isn't enough to cook up a dish and it has been left there to grow and flourish. Now, it has flowered and bored seeds. And it is of the bicoloured variety; not the type consumed by Popeye, which I suspect is green. What do you think?
