In Jack and the beanstalk, Jack's mother threw some beans which he traded for with the family cow; and they grew into a huge beanstalk which reached up into the clouds. Someone threw some seeds of the bitter gourd into the garden, and they grew. Seeing them weak and limp, I made some support out of bamboo poles for them. Now, they are growing well but they hardly reached the sky!
