While out taking a walk in the Lake Gardens with How, I suggested going to the 56.5 acre Taman Botani Perak Perak Botanical Gardens which was just a stone throw away from the lotus pond. The botanical garden is a new attraction in Taiping, having begun its RM30 million construction in 2016; it is supposed to be used for research, educational and recreational purposes. The garden would have different sections featuring ferns, orchids, bamboo and various palms trees among other things; but since there were none there, I suppose there isn't much to be seen as yet except for a little tropical jungle reeked with ugly man-made structures.
