Moth on the Corridor

There it was, lying motionless on the cement floor at the other end of the corridor. Moths are known to come out at night but I was on my way home one afternoon. The tropical swallowtail moth, scientifically known as Lyssa zampa is a rather big moth and it had caught my attention. Obviously, it was dead but still beautiful nevertheless. I have seen the moth when a kid but not too often. I suppose one would not see it too often too in the Himalayas and South East Asian countries where it could be found. It was rather strange then to read a report on its mass appearance in neighbouring Singapore.
