In Ayutthaya, while walking back to our hotel, a big house with a concrete fence caught my eyes. No, it was not the house or the fence; there was a row of plants with little white flowers and a row of snake plants among other things growing on a stretch of land in front of the house. I rather like the sight of the stones and pebbles there. In a garden, stones and pebbles could look rather neat and appealing like in a Japanese Zen garden; and they definitely do keep the place free from weeds and retain the moisture in the soil. The last of course, cut down on the need for watering the plants ; which sounds just great!
