White Lotuses

I suppose white lotuses are not as common as pink ones; the latter I've  seen them as long as I can remember, in the lotus lake in Taiping Lake Gardens. White lotuses; I can't remember seeing them anywhere in Malaysia. The first time I've seen white lotuses was in a Tony Bui Vietnamese language movie, Three Seasons which was set in Ho Chi Minh City.  In the movie, there is a scene of young girls picking lotuses, white ones of course; from a pond. Since then, I have seen live versions of white lotuses once or twice; maybe more, in Thailand. The last time, I remember clearly; it was in Haadyai, in a Vietnamese Buddhist Temple, Wat Thaawon.
