Tillandsia

Tillandsia or air plants - these plants do not need soil to anchor on. The majority of their nutrients, they get  from the air. In the orchids show in Taiping, a kiosk featured some air plants. Xerographica, Tectorum, Bulbosa, Tectorum, Ionantha Rubra, Velutina; most or all of these air plants were there, I suppose. Air plants, they say are easy to take care of. When you first get your air plants, you are suppose to soak them for 30 minutes, allow them to dry upside down, overnight. When they are completely dry, you can flip them on their right side up in their new home.  Give them a proper soak once every two weeks for fifteen minutes, maybe more; especially when the weather is hot. Otherwise, you may just want to just water or mist them.
