Movie Talk: Shazam!

Imagine a little boy being abandoned by his own biological mother and from then on, living and running away from foster homes just to locate her; that would probably be a basis for a good tear jerker; but nowadays, movie buffs seem to go for movies with out of the world storyline and characters, movies featuring super heroes and super villains which promise fantastic special effects; so, it probably isn't a surprise that Shazam!, the 2019 American film based on the DC Comics, chronicles the life of 14-year-old Billy Batson who move in with the Vazquez family and their other five foster kids, turns into another one of those superhero movies which scorsc in the box office department. From a normal teenager, Billy turned into an adult with great powers when a dying wizard transfer his powers to him. From then on, you either love or hate the movie; love it for its credible storyline, special effects and comic effects when Billy the kid utters the magic word Shazam! and immediately transforms into a an adult superhero but hate it; when with the mind and mannerisms of a child and with powers he is unaware of and yet to unleash, turns into an unlikely bumbling hero. Billy is played by Asher Angel who reminds me of Chachi Scott Baio of Happy Days fame, and the adult Billy is played by Zachary Levi, an American actor and singer, star of 2015 TV series Chuck who in Shazam! is clean-shaven and without his beard; and for a superhero, looks rather clean cut and a mere boring goody two shoes.
