Cows, the domestic bovine; the Hindus respect them, hold them sacred and even have a festival Mattupongal, thanking them for their contributions to mankind. That respect probably extends to the the Holstein Friesian which are considered the best dairy cattle in the world. An Australian dairy farmer favourite because of their high milk yields, the Holstein Friesian can be found in all parts of Australia. In Malaysia, I 've seen them in Kundasang, Sabah, living in the Desa Cattle Dairy Farm at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. The cows were sasaid to have been imported from New Zealand.
