Probably, I have seen swans in London many years back but just did not know then that they belong to Queen Elizabeth II. Just found out about it from a report in the Internet. It seems that the carcass of a swan had been butchered, burnt and stripped of its flesh and was dumped on a riverbank near the Queen's favourite weekend home, Windsor Castle. The act was said to be an offence as all the wild mute swans in Britain are said to be the property of the crown. The offender had reportedly taken the breast out of the poor swan and an animal charity worker Wendy Hermon said she had felt sick when she saw it. How can someone do that and leave it where they did? She had asked. She probably would get sick too if she had seen what people do to chickens and ducks, turkeys, pigs and cows too in order to feed the human population!
