Brigandine pike (inset) which could reach a length of 3 meters looks like an alligator and understably is also called fish-alligator. These fish live in fresh waters in eastern North and Central America and in the Caribbean in warm bays, lakes and rivers overgrown with grass. The fish supposedly look the same as 150 million years ago during the time the dinosaurs were thriving. Evolution must have stopped for these alligator of a fish!
