I am beat!'Beat' does not just mean 'to strike' or 'to subdue' or 'to defeat'. A beat may be is the basic time unit of music. In music, people may talk of upbeat, downbeat, on-beat, off-beat and backbeat. Talking all these terms really make me beat! Well, that means fatigue has set in!
