Since H. G. Wells's Time Machine, there has been many movies employing the concept of time travel. The latest Superhero film Avengers: Endgame is such a movie. The movie takes off from 2018's Avengers: Infinity War. The latter if you remember, ends gloomily. When Thanos used the Infinity Stones to disintegrate half of all life across the universe, some of the victims include some of the superheroes themselves, the likes of the young Peter Parker aka Spiderman and some of the crew of Guardians of the Galaxy. Endgame sees some of the surviving superheroes trying to rectify the situation by travelling back through time to retrieve the stones. Thus, are sets interesting scenes like the Captain America of the future fighting it out with Captain America past; and the future, more level headed Hulk laughing at seeing his past more temperamental self rampaging in the streets; the latter very unlike the situation when we look back at our past and laugh at our own silliness. Since Endgame is the sequel to 2012's The Avengers, 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron and 2018's Avengers: Infinity War, expect then to see old scenes from all these past hits from another perspective. With many characters from these and other Marvel movies like Ant-Man, Black Panther and the likes, one would expect a convoluted plot but still, it is a breeze sitting through the slightly over three hour movie. You'd be delighted too to catch glimpses of some of Hollywood greats like Robert Redford and Michael Douglas, both of whom had appeared in Marvel Superhero movies;the former in Captain America: The Winter Soldier playing a crook and the latter, the good guy in Ant-Man.
