What is it doing here?The dog, being a domesticated form of the grey wolf is a carnivore . A squirrel which feeds on a wide variety of plant food such as nuts, seeds, conifer cones, fruits, fungi and green vegetation is more of a rodent. Some squirrels do however consume meat when faced with hunger. They have been known to eat insects, eggs, small birds, smaller rodents and even young snakes. So, perhaps, that's why that squirrel is with that dog!
