Animal Talk: Marriage Made-On-Earth

Man's marriage is made in heaven but a frog's wedding most probably is made on earth, in Ramchandrapur village, Bangladesh, to be exact. Tajul Islam who attended the frogs' wedding said that about 300 villagers were dressed in their best clothes and the frog bride and groom were just as highly decorated with a red streak of colour on their forehead and were carried in a special basket to a banana-leaf stage. The villagers sang songs, made offerings of rice and grass and when the ceremony was over, the newly-married frogs were released in the village pond.
