In this sad time when covid 19 grips the world with fear, it's sad to hear of the demise of American country singer Kenny Rogers whose husky voice dominated the country charts in the 70s and 80s. I love his Gambler which won him a Grammy Award; Lady, Lucille and his duet with Dolly Parton, Islands in the Stream. Perhaps, it's a solace to know that the singer passed away peacefully at a ripe old age of 81 due to natural causes. May his soul rest in peace!
