No, this is not the 'Lost' series that is aired in American television by ABC or American Broadcasting Company. You probably remember the drama series that follows the lives of some survivors of the crash of a commercial passenger jet on a tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean, don't you? In the island, there were no traffic lights!

'On top of the world' probably gives you the impression that you are at the highest point or peak but this can mean, you are in a position of great happiness or success. You'd probably get this feeling if you sing the folk-country song performed by Dixie Chicks, 'Top of the World' a song written by Patty Griffin.

Shut Up!

It is said that before the twentieth century, the phrase 'shut up' means to lock up, quarantine or hold someone prisoner. Today, it is a direct command, an angry, forceful and most definitely an impolite way to ask someone to be quiet. Do you think there is a better way to say, 'Shut up'?

Green trees most probably are caused by the opportunistic green moss growing on the tree trunks. The moss thrives in low-light, moist environment but if you don't like them, never mind - you can spray the tree trunk with high-pressure water from a hose and faucet or simply rake them away since the moss has a shallow and thin root system.

Animal Talk: Smoking Shirley

Image
Offer a cigarette to Shirley the orang utan in the zoo in Johor, Malaysia instead of a banana. Shirley, the orang utan, is a smoker! She begs for cigarettes and puffs away when she has one. It is no wonder there are lots of cigarette stubs outside her cage. Do keep this in mind though: Shirley is picky about the cigarettes she smokes. She will reject certain brands! And remember too, when you offer the ape a cigarette, you probably would also be placing her health at stake! No wonder some NGOs are getting angry about the whole issue!
