And The Swan Shall Meet


Rudyard Kipling is said to have coined the phrase 'Never the twain shall meet' when he said 'East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet' when he lamented the gap of understanding between the colonial British master and their Indian subjects in India.'Twain' is Old English for two. The twp swans, however are neither master and subordinates, and they, I presume, shall meet!
