A showgirl can be a dancer or performer in a stage entertainment show or a young woman working as a promotional model in trade fairs and car shows, etc who has no dance or entertainment skills at all but functions merely to attract attention to the products. Pamela Anderson, the sexy star of Baywatch and a Playmate of Playboy magazine and Valerie Perrine, the Eve Teschmacher of the 1978 and 1980 Superman I and II movies are notable showgirls, the latter having worked in Las Vegas.
